What drives you in your work?

Sandro: "After several years of feeling stressed, I felt the need to do something for society. Being a social worker is my main occupation,, but I was looking to do more. I wanted to teach people how easy it can be to relax. I read a lot of self-help books and I wanted to pass on the lessons I learnt. That's why I'm taking the holistic therapist course."

How do you notice you’re in need of relaxation?

"I often experience pain in my eyes and head, and I start breathing very shallowly. This often occurs when I need to finish something quickly or when I stress myself out with deadlines. Deadlines that aren’t even that important. Because in the end: what do we really have to do and what not?"

What do you do when you notice this?

"As soon as I feel stressed, I try very hard to pay attention to my breathing. I try to do breathing exercises every night and go for regular walks in nature. This works very well for me. I also often write about what is bothering me."

Do you have a set self-care ritual?

"Every morning I stretch first, followed by five minutes of breathing exercises and writing about three things I am grateful for. Then I plan and visualize my day. Every night I meditate for five minutes before going to sleep and write about the best moments of the day."

What has conscious breathing brought you?

"Breathing exercises give me a lot of peace and calmness. Especially since I started using moonbird."

What’s your favorite moment to use moonbird?

"I noticed that I was having trouble doing breathing exercises because I wasn't sure how to go about it. Moonbird helps me get my breathing under control every morning and evening and gives me space and peace."

"It's all about mindset. If you change nothing, nothing will change."
