30 nights to try it, with a full refund if it is not for you
One sleep mask with an adjustable velcro strap, 85% cotton and 15% polyester, 2.5 oz. One pack of 30 nasal strips. One pack of 30 mouth strips. Both strips packs are single-use, hypoallergenic and latex free.
The strips are a month of nights at one of each per night. The mask is not consumable and keeps going, so a repeat order is usually just the two strips packs.
Yes, and most people do at first. The mask works alone, and so does either strip. The ritual is for when you want to try the three together rather than work out which one is doing the lifting.
Free return and full refund within 30 days on purchases made on moonbird.life. A bundle has to come back complete, because we cannot refund part of one. The sleep mask carries a two-year warranty against defects in materials or artisanship.
A night is three problems, not one
Most sleep advice treats the night as a single thing to fix. In practice it comes apart into separate, ordinary problems: a room that is not as dark as it feels, a nose that is not moving enough air, and a mouth that falls open once you are under.
Each has its own small, physical answer. Putting the three in one box is the point: you stop choosing between them and stop working out which one to try first.
Night 1
All three, straight away
Strip on the nose, strip on the lips, mask over the eyes. The whole thing takes under a minute and needs nothing from you afterwards.
Week 1
It becomes the signal
The sequence turns into the thing you do when the day is finished. A repeated cue like that does a lot of the work of winding down.
Month 1
You find your own version
By the end of the strips you will know which parts you want to keep. Reorder the strips, keep the mask, or take all three away with you.
Or start with one part
The ritual is the three together, but each of them is sold on its own if you would rather add one at a time.
The order it goes on
1
Nasal strip first
On clean, dry skin across the bridge of your nose. Press the ends down and you will feel it pull the passages open.
2
Mouth strip second
A small strip across the middle of your lips. It holds them closed without sealing your mouth shut.
3
Mask last
Wrap the band around, close the velcro wherever it feels right, and sit the shaped side over your eyes.
If mouth strips are new to you, wear one for an hour in the evening before you sleep in it.
Three nights it changes
A room you cannot darken
A streetlight through thin curtains, a sunrise at half past five, a standby light you cannot unplug.
A blocked nose in bed
Lying down makes a marginal nose worse, which is when the mouth takes over for the rest of the night.
Waking up dried out
The dry mouth and the sore throat that tell you where the air went in while you were asleep.

What the research says about the dark
These studies tested eye masks and evening light, which is the darkness part of the ritual. They say nothing about the strips, and we have not put a study behind those.
What they do explain is why a room that feels dark often is not, and why blocking the light beats judging it.
22 minutes
Dim light still counts
In 55 adults, five hours of evening light at 10 lux, roughly a dimmed lamp, pushed the body's night signal 22 minutes later than near darkness. At 30 lux it was 77 minutes.

6 to 350
Dark enough is personal
In the same study, the light level needed to halve melatonin ran from 6 lux in the most sensitive person to 350 lux in the least. How a room feels tells you nothing about where you sit in that range.

13 trials
Blocking the light improved how people rated their sleep
Pooling 13 randomised trials across 797 patients, wearing an eye mask improved how well people rated their sleep. These were brightly lit wards rather than bedrooms, which is exactly where light is hardest to control.

The part the ritual does not do
Mask and strips set the room and the airway. They cannot slow you down. That is what moonbird is for: a handheld breathing coach that guides you to a slower rhythm and shows your heart rate variability rise as the day lets go.
