Gift guides
Eight lists, for the people who are hardest to buy for.
Most gift guides in this corner of the internet are lists of objects somebody was paid to mention. These are not that.
Each one is built the same way: what the thing is, who it actually suits, and why it works. Most of what we recommend is not ours and we earn nothing on it. Where something of ours belongs on a list, it is on the list and marked as ours.

Frequently asked questions
We start from the problem rather than the product. For each guide we ask what actually keeps someone awake, or wound up, or losing their keys, and then what helps with that. Some of the answers are objects. Some are not.
Only on our own. moonbird and moonbuddy are ours and are marked as ours wherever they appear. Everything else on these lists is something we do not sell, have no affiliate arrangement with, and make nothing from.
Because a handheld breathing device genuinely belongs in an answer to "what do you give someone who cannot switch off". Leaving it out to look impartial would be its own kind of dishonesty. It sits alongside the alternatives rather than above them.
